Will the U.S. and China co-operate on North Korea?

If the U.S. or China, were to exercise military options in North Korea, it would affect all Koreans on the peninsula. The only real difference is the options available to a North or South Korean. The North Koreans have fewer options and already live in dire circumstances. Their options include staying put (hiding, fighting) or flooding into China and South Korea (running). The prosperous South, however, has nowhere to run. Their only real option is to strengthen the DMZ and keep their forces on high alert. China is currently bracing for a possible human tsunami, and have recently strengthened capabilities at their border with North Korea. The U.S. and Japan are looking at measures to evacuate their citizens, while military assets are being moved into theater (THAAD, CSGs, strategic bombers) etc. As you can imagine, pieces are currently being moved around in the region.

The real question is, will China and the U.S. work together to find a resolution? If either party ignores the concerns of the other, and takes unilateral action, a chance of an even worse conflict could arise. Therefore, a regional coalition of the willing is paramount in tackling the belligerent regime in Pyongyang.

The problem is, the North Korean problem is metastasizing. A decade of trade sanctions did limit its growth, yet, only up until very recently did China cease importing North Korean coal. China has started to shift away from being the enabling neighbor it has been for decades. China may soon cease oil exports as well. I ask the question. Has North Korea finally run out of friends? It has no future in its current state. Will it give in peacefully, or will it continue to provocatively wave its nuclear wand in the region ? I guess we can not know until we are at the precipice of war.

If North Korea were to play its military hand first, it would suffer an enormous response, which would undoubtedly usher China and America into its borders. Political capital would have been completely spent. The North Korean regime would be ticketed for destruction. Missiles would rain down on military installations, troops would be flooding in from China. The South would battle to maintain its border. Seoul could be on fire, and Japan would find out how credible the nuclear threat really was (hope your AEGIS destroyers work). Or, the North continues to saber rattle, and the stalemate continues until the North waves the white flag or the U.S loses patience and goes in alone or with allies and friends in the region.

If China has actually ceased its tacit support of the regime, and is ready to uninstall Kim Jong-Un, this may be enough for North Korea to fold under pressure.

Either way, stay tuned, as the North Korean problem isn’t going anywhere.

Please feel free to comment.

MH17 – Beating the drums for war

propaganda

Something is wrong. I don’t know what exactly, but I can say that the version of events the U.S. State Department is offering is nothing short of pathetic. In this link, U.S. State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf continuously repeats that it was an SA11 fired from Russian backed separatist held territory, that social media supports their theory, that they are confident and know this to be accurate according to their assessment (that they haven’t made public). She went on to repeat this narrative for the duration of the exchange, and adeptly kept to her beaten path. She may as well be an automaton. A mouthpiece regurgitating what it had been programmed to say. Propaganda du jour.

What do we know?

Well, although kind of dangerous to fly through Ukraine, it wasn’t alone in doing so. What was unique to flight MH17, was that it flew over Donetsk, choosing not to follow the official corridor that commercial traffic had been using, and fly over an extremely dangerous airspace as it found out. Why did it change its course while transiting through Ukrainian airspace? Additionally, I’m not sure why Ukrainian Air-traffic control told flight MH17 to fly at 33,000 ft, apparently optimum was 35,000 ft. Incidentally, the BUK missile system has a range of up to 50,000 ft.

Counter claim. According to the Russians, a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet was observed in the vicinity of MH-17, flying in a corridor reserved for commercial traffic, in range of its air-to-air missiles. So far the US hasn’t released any data to counter this.

Who stood to gain?

Western controlled media swiftly pointed the finger at Putin. He is being painted as the culprit, although their has been no evidence to prove this. The U.S has not delivered anything concrete, nothing that would generate a conviction. With the U.S and allies igniting war and chaos in the middle East and so forth, and Ukraine being the pivot into Russia (read Zbigniew Brzezinski’s book titled “The Grand Chessboard”), it would not surprise me if the U.S had deliberately created this incident to serve as a false flag. This is what the U.S State Department and the various intelligence agencies do. It’s their forte. Not that Russia is good and the U.S evil, I simply ask what is the upside for the Russians to take down an airliner full of civilians? It is not a victory in any sense (perhaps you can offer an intelligent reason in the comments section). The plane wasn’t carrying special cargo to my knowledge, and it would not serve to win any hearts and minds for Russia. The plane was carrying people from all around the globe, the victims were international, mainly Dutch and Australians. Not a single Ukrainian government official on board. Only the U.S had something to gain. If it can pull out the drum, and make a beat for war, rekindling the cold war mentality and dredging up past grievances, perhaps it can go to war again. They still need the majority of the populace to believe the official narrative. They haven’t got a robot army yet.

UPDATE:

Flight MH17 ordered to change course minutes before being shot down. Ukrainian air-traffic control audio logs have been seized.

So, Ukrainian air-traffic control orders MH17 to fly at 33,000 ft, then permits it to stray from the safe corridor in order to fly over Donetsk minutes before it was taken out. The official transcripts are seized in Ukraine. The Western propaganda machine immediately implicates Putin. No evidence provided. Just immediate finger pointing.

Noting that their was a possible SU-25 trailing MH17 (according to the Russians) in the commercial air corridor, probably tracking MH-17 and within distance to use its air-to-air missiles, and claims that from senior Ukraine military figures that Ukraine doesn’t have the know how or capability to operate advanced AA systems, then I ask the question. Did the Ukraine government, backed by the U.S government, take out MH17 over rebel territory in order to blame Russia and villanize Putin? Again, what would Putin and Russia have to gain? There is no strategic value in taking down an airliner! Only false flag opportunities for the maniacs who are starting up a possible WWIII! Whether by a surface-to-air or an air-to-air missile, it is looking very likely that the Ukrainian government took out this flight because it was told to do so. It has a temporary ally in the U.S. That is bad news Ukraine. Iraq is completely fucked!

FAST FOOD LIES AND DISINFORMATION FOR THE MASSES

CNN, MSNBC, FOX and their ilk worldwide, have done vast and encompassing intellectual damage to the average consumer. Whether by purposeful disinformation, well constructed rhetoric, televisual hypnosis, distraction and manipulation, these mainstream media purveyors need to be viewed for what they are in reality. Fast food news chains serving disinformation and toxic substances to the masses.

The other day I was trolling through a few blogs tagged with “Syria”. One stood out in particular, especially after I read their response to my satirical commentary. Below is my satire.

“I will assume that Obama and the current administration, are noble, virtuous, and good people. I will assume the Democrats and Republicans are not servants of the elite, and that the US has not waged wars using false pretexts, whether in Vietnam, or Iraq. I will assume that liberty and caring for the tired, poor, huddled masses is still alive and well. Additionally, I will assume that Assad is an evil dictator, and that the rebels fighting in his country are not funded and supplied by any foreign intelligence agencies, and that Assad used chemical weapons on his people. What will the noble Obama do? America has been so reluctant to involve itself in foreign matters in the past. How can the US stand idly by, as the Syrian president uses weapons of mass destruction on his people. This is an outrage. Something must be done. The US has never been in a better financial position. I think we should at least engage in a limited strike to assist the freedom loving rebels in Syria”.

I received a breakdown of my satire in the basic form of a point by point breakdown. In red is my opponent.

“For my response I will assume that Obama and the current administration, are noble, virtuous, and good people.”

Nobody said they were, but continue…

“That the Democrats and Republicans are not servants of the elite, and that the US has not waged wars on false pretexts, whether in Vietnam, or Iraq.”

Again, nobody said they haven’t.

“I will assume that liberty and caring for the tired, poor, huddled masses is still alive and well.”

Doesn’t seem that way what with the current rhetoric and all.

“Additionally, I will assume that Assad is an evil dictator,”

That much is true. His country is currently ranked one of the worst in human rights abuses, just behind North Korea.

“and that the rebels fighting in his country are not funded and supplied by any foreign intelligence agencies,”

Foreign intelligence agencies with a vested interest in destabilizing the Assad regime? Heaven forfend!

“and that Assad used chemical weapons on his people.”

In about a week and a half from now we’ll know this to be true, pending the lab results.

“America has been so reluctant to involve itself in foreign matters in the past.”

It has, and yet the rest of the world seems to have succeeded in dragging us into their squabbles. Imagine that.

“How can we stand idly by, as the Syrian president uses weapons of mass destruction on his people.”

We can’t. If he’s willing to go the whole hog using WMD’s on his own people, imagine what he’ll do to someone else’s.

“This is an outrage.”

It is.

“Something must be done.”

Something is being done.

“The US has never been in a better financial position.”

And if it’s not we can certainly prime the pump and print more money, sell of more debt kinda like we have been doing since…since…well, since before I graced the planet.

“I think we should at least engage in a limited strike to assist the freedom loving rebels in Syria.”

Not too many people do sarcasm very well over the internet. I doff my hat to you.

Is this the level of analysis and argument from the average human; US or otherwise?. Are these people only barely capable of comprehending the words spoken by these suave politicians, whom carefully lead them to the conclusions the elite intended for the masses? To arrive at this destination without independent research and analysis, basically to have their mind made up for them by a talking head on a television, with their hypnotic voice and carefully scripted rhetoric? Basically fast food arguments. Well packaged and targeted for the mentally immobile and languid? This mental retardation is where the problem lies. The elite use it so aptly to their advantage. For the masses, our biggest enemy is dull witted people. People willfully consuming great quantities of disinformation at the biggest brands in town. CNN, the McDonald’s of intellectualism.

Obama the Virtuous

I will assume that Obama and the current administration, are noble, virtuous, and good people.
